Junior System Operations Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Junior System Operations Engineer to join our team. This role will focus on system provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and proactive maintenance to ensure stable, optimized operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support provisioning and configuration of Linux‑based systems across edge and application servers.
• Assist in managing system configurations with tools such as Rudder, learning automation best practices.
• Contribute to monitoring platforms (e.g., Zabbix), track metrics, configure alerts and help identify performance issues.
• Participate in routine maintenance activities including updates, patching and basic optimization.
• Support storage and networking configurations using open‑source solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience in system operations or a related role, preferably in broadcast, streaming or digital video.
• Basic Linux system administration knowledge with hands‑on experience.
• Familiarity with configuration‑management tools (Rudder, Chef or Puppet) and a desire to learn automation.
• Introductory knowledge of monitoring concepts and tools such as Zabbix or Prometheus.
• Ability to perform routine updates, patching and basic troubleshooting under guidance.
• Basic understanding of open‑source storage technologies like Ceph or ZFS.
• Good English communication skills.
