Lean Manager – Continuous Improvement Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Lean Manager to lead continuous improvement initiatives for SYNLAB Italy’s Operations team. The role focuses on transforming processes across the country, driving efficiency and performance without direct people management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Lean projects and continuous improvement initiatives using the SYNLAB Transformation System (STS) methodology.
• Analyse operational processes to identify waste, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Define and monitor action plans, KPIs, milestones and targeted results.
• Facilitate workshops, problem‑solving sessions, Kaizen events and on‑site discussions.
• Support process standardisation and deployment of Lean/STS best practices.
• Influence stakeholders and operational teams to adopt changes without hierarchical authority.
• Collaborate with SYNLAB Group headquarters and the global STS community.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Lean, Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Industrial Engineering or similar roles.
• Background in structured industrial, manufacturing or production environments.
• Proven hands‑on experience in change‑management projects with measurable impact on processes, KPIs and people.
• Strong cross‑functional leadership and ability to work with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

What we offer

• Permanent contract under the CCNL Commercio – Level 1.
• Indicative gross annual salary €43 000–€47 000.
