Lecturer / Senior Lecturer – Phase 2 Coordinator (Rural)

About the role

The University is seeking a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to serve as Phase 2 Coordinator for its Rural Clinical Campus in Albury. This part‑time position (3.5 hrs/week) involves delivering high‑quality medical education and overseeing a designated phase of the undergraduate medicine program.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and coordinate curriculum, clinical placements, and assessments for Phase 2 students on the rural campus.
• Foster partnerships with Local Health Districts, Primary Health Networks, and faculty colleagues to enhance rural medical education.
• Develop rurally focused learning activities, support student research projects, and contribute to curriculum innovation.
• For Senior Lecturer level: provide leadership in teaching excellence, drive curriculum development, and advise students and staff on rural health content.

Required profile

• Medical degree (BMedMD, MBBS or equivalent) with Fellowship of a Specialist Medical College (e.g., ACEM, ACRRM, RACP, RACGP, RANZCOG, RACS).
• Current, unrestricted medical registration in New South Wales.
• Demonstrated professional development in pedagogy and disciplinary knowledge.
• Proven experience in clinical teaching, student assessment, and use of educational technologies.
• For Senior Lecturer level: strong leadership record and expertise in a relevant sub‑disciplinary area.

What we offer

• Academic Level B or C salary range $133,065 – $161,619 pro rata per year.
• Additional 17% superannuation and clinical loading.
• Fixed‑term contract until 30 June 2027.
• On‑site work at the Albury Rural Clinical Campus.
• No visa sponsorship; candidates must hold unrestricted work rights.
