Legal Counsel – Data Protection & Compliance

About the role

Gucci is seeking a Legal Counsel to support its data protection and compliance framework. Reporting to the Regulatory, Compliance & Privacy Director, you will ensure that privacy and compliance requirements are integrated across the business and that the company meets all applicable regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance on data protection and compliance matters, aligning with regulations and internal programs.
• Support business units in identifying privacy implications of new initiatives, technologies, and projects.
• Review and negotiate privacy‑related contractual provisions.
• Conduct and maintain Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs), Data Transfer Assessments (DTAs), AI assessments, and Records of Processing Activities (ROPA).
• Perform compliance risk assessments, including AML, anti‑corruption, and Law 231/2001.
• Analyze third‑party due diligence and screenings.
• Coordinate and manage Data Subject Requests (DSRs) from employees, clients, third parties, and public authorities.
• Collaborate with Retail, Finance, HR, Procurement, Tech, and other functions to embed privacy and compliance across operations.
• Liaise with Kering privacy teams, Data Protection Officers, local compliance officers, and external advisors.
• Support audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory inquiries.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Law; qualification as a lawyer is a plus.
• Strong interest and motivation to develop expertise in compliance and data protection.
• Relevant experience in privacy and data‑protection matters.
