Legal Counsel – Real Estate & Energy

About the role

Weerts Group is seeking a Business‑oriented Legal Counsel to support its expanding real estate and renewable energy activities in Italy. Based in Milan, you will work closely with commercial, technical and senior management teams both locally and at the Group’s headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day legal support for real estate and renewable energy projects from inception through completion.
• Conduct and coordinate legal due‑diligence exercises for acquisitions, disposals and financing transactions.
• Draft, review, negotiate and manage agreements such as LOIs, term sheets, sale‑purchase agreements, SPAs, leases, construction contracts and commercial contracts.
• Advise on permitting, regulatory compliance, corporate matters and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate with external counsel, public authorities and other stakeholders.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments, identifying risks and business opportunities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law from an Italian university with strong academic credentials.
• 7–10 years of professional experience, preferably in an international law environment covering real estate, energy or corporate transactions.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and support cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Expertise in drafting and negotiating complex commercial and real‑estate contracts.
• Solid understanding of renewable‑energy project structures and related regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency in conducting legal due‑diligence and managing contract lifecycles.
