Logistics Specialist – Global Operations

About the role

We are seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our Global Operations team. Reporting to the Head of Logistics, you will support the planning and execution of logistics activities for complex international projects, ensuring timely and cost‑effective transportation of materials and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage shipments in coordination with Project Managers, aligning with project timelines and budgets.
• Analyze transport specifications, liaise with forwarders and consultants, and evaluate technical proposals, risks and opportunities.
• Manage transport tenders, prepare bidding documentation, compare offers and support procurement in supplier selection.
• Define logistics procedures and transport specifications, coordinating with customers, customs agencies, forwarders and project stakeholders.
• Oversee customs operations, prepare documentation for clearance and handle dual‑use goods.
• Monitor logistics budgets, contribute to cost‑optimization initiatives and ensure compliance with transport regulations, including hazardous‑materials rules.
• Coordinate subcontractors and logistics partners for the shipment of materials, equipment and vehicles to project sites.
• Support business development and project teams in assessing logistics solutions and transportation costs.
• Manage receipt of materials at warehouses, loading/unloading procedures and after‑sales activities for non‑conforming items.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in logistics, transportation or supply‑chain roles.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
• Proactive attitude with motivation to grow in increasingly complex international projects.
• Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken); Chinese is a plus.
