Maintenance Technician – Industrial Equipment

About the role

The Maintenance Technician at Hitachi Energy ensures optimal operation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment. This role supports manufacturing and operational environments by minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement repair solutions.
• Perform routine inspections, adjustments, and calibrations to keep machinery within specifications.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Document maintenance activities, parts used, and time spent using a computerized maintenance management system.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with production teams to minimize operational disruption.
• Follow safety protocols and regulatory requirements such as Lockout/Tagout and confined space entry.
• Assist in installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and manage tools and spare parts.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a similar role.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, schematics, and blueprints.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and operate in various environmental conditions.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
