Managing Counsel, Commercial - Partnerships

About the role

This senior commercial counsel position supports global partnership initiatives for a fast‑growing technology company. Working remotely within a distributed legal team, you will shape high‑impact partnership agreements while balancing legal risk and commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate complex partnership contracts, including embedded services, reseller, referral and channel agreements.
• Provide strategic legal advice on enterprise‑level SaaS transactions across multiple jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with partnerships, sales, finance, product and go‑to‑market teams to enable business growth.
• Develop and maintain legal templates, negotiation playbooks and scalable contracting processes.
• Support regional commercial operations in EMEA by reviewing sales agreements as needed.
• Advise on data‑protection considerations, particularly GDPR and U.S. privacy requirements.
• Deliver legal training and practical guidance to improve contract management.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives within the legal function.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with extensive experience in commercial law, partnership agreements and technology contracts.
• Proven track record negotiating embedded services, reseller, referral and channel partnerships.
• Strong background in enterprise SaaS transactions and complex commercial negotiations.
• Excellent drafting skills with a focus on scalable, commercially practical contracts.
• Deep understanding of GDPR and broader data‑protection principles.
