Manufacturing Engineer / Specialist (m/f/d)

About the role

Bosch Rexroth Oil Control S.p.A., part of the Bosch Group, produces compact hydraulic components for applications ranging from aerial platforms to cranes, earth-moving and agricultural machinery. Its R&D centre in Nonantola (MO) is a global competence hub for compact hydraulic products. The Manufacturing Engineering department is looking for a Manufacturing Specialist who acts as a link between Engineering, Operations and Production, assessing the feasibility of technical proposals, defining the best manufacturing approach and coordinating tooling needs.

Key responsibilities

• Review technical proposals from Engineering and assess whether they can be efficiently implemented in production
• Read and interpret technical drawings and 3D models to find the best way to manufacture a component
• Coordinate requests for special tooling with suppliers, follow up orders and monitor delivery dates
• Work with the production team and carry out practical checks on machines to ensure processes and setups work as expected
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering, Purchasing, Tooling and Production

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent professional experience
• Fluent English and Italian
• Good knowledge of industrial materials and machining tools, able to choose the right tools for different materials and applications
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to plan, organise and monitor delivery schedules for tooling and equipment

Required skills

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and 3D models
• Experience with CAD software such as PTC Creo and SolidWorks is a plus
• Understanding of machining processes and production methods; previous hands-on machine or production experience is highly appreciated
