Marketing Intern – Biopharmaceuticals

About the role

Ascendis Pharma, a fast-growing biopharmaceutical company, is looking for a motivated and curious intern to join its Italy team, reporting directly to Marketing. The role works closely with Medical Affairs and Public Affairs to build a broad, cross-functional understanding of how an innovative therapy is brought to and supported in the Italian market. It is based at the Milan offices, with about 40 hours per week and flexibility around exam periods.

Key responsibilities

• Marketing: support the development of promotional materials and the communication plan, coordinating with external agencies and vendors
• Maintain and manage document management in Veeva, SharePoint and Teams
• Assist and organise scientific events, internal meetings, cycle meetings and sponsorships for national and international congresses, and plan material shipments to conferences
• Medical Affairs: support the preparation and review of medical-scientific materials and document management, and collaborate on scientific initiatives, educational events and symposia at major Italian congresses
• Support Medical Project Leads in preparing, implementing and executing projects, and help the Medical team with internal meetings and ad hoc tasks
• Public Affairs/Communication: support Public Affairs initiatives and engagement with patient associations, and help develop corporate and internal/external communication plans
• Help local functions with daily tasks and special projects, improve workflows such as contracting and purchase orders, and contribute to cross-functional projects
• Provide ad hoc support to the Italian Leadership Team

Required profile

• Pursuing a relevant academic degree, or a Bachelor's degree in scientific disciplines; a Master's in pharmaceutical marketing/management is an added value
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Ability to manage multiple tasks at once, with a structured, detail-oriented approach
• Team player with a can-do attitude, able to work independently with minimal supervision
