Material Controller Technician

About the role

The Material Controller Technician is responsible for overseeing material flow, ensuring compliance with transportation and warehousing regulations, and optimizing material usage across NATO operations. The role requires independent work in challenging environments and close collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage material inventories and coordinate supply chain activities.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and dangerous‑goods packaging and movement.
• Prioritise tasks and operate with minimal supervision, especially in austere conditions.
• Analyse complex data to optimise material usage and reduce waste.
• Supervise data management processes and maintain precise records.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet operational needs.
• Meet tight deadlines and handle stressful situations effectively.

Required profile

• Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with at least 3 years of related experience, or secondary education with 5 years experience, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in material management.
• Proven experience in supply chain management and logistics.
• Good knowledge of transportation regulations, warehousing procedures and dangerous‑goods handling.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize work and adapt to austere conditions.
• Strong analytical skills for data‑driven optimisation.
• Excellent multitasking and communication abilities.
