Materials Planning Responsible

About the role

As a Materials Planning Responsible at Maserati’s Modena plant, you will ensure that production runs smoothly by guaranteeing the right materials are available at the right time. This high‑impact position works closely with suppliers, production teams, and internal stakeholders to keep the manufacturing line operating without interruptions.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure material availability in line with production schedules.
• Monitor supplier deliveries, anticipate delays, and proactively manage risks.
• Act as the primary liaison between suppliers, production, and internal departments.
• Prevent and resolve critical shortages quickly.
• Maintain high inventory accuracy across systems and physical stock.
• Lead and coordinate material planning activities and set team priorities.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives for logistics flows and planning processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Economics or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience, including 3‑5 years in material planning, logistics or supply‑chain roles.
• Background in a manufacturing/plant environment, preferably automotive.
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (SAP or similar) and inventory management.
• Proven ability to handle complex, time‑critical priorities.
• Fluent in Italian and professional English (B2 or higher).
• Experience leading or coordinating a team.

• SAP (or comparable ERP/MRP system).
• Advanced Excel.
• Power BI or similar data‑visualisation tools.
