Mechanical Draftsman

About the role

Cavotec develops electrification and automation technologies for ports and industrial operations, and is recruiting a Mechanical Draftsman for its MCR team. You will design parts and sub-systems into projects, balancing cost, manufacturability, time and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement reliable technical solutions, under the guidance of the Sub-system Team Leader Engineer
• Create detailed drawings and implement changes to existing designs
• Select components according to manufacturer instructions and good practice
• Create and store drawings and 3D models electronically in the appropriate document
• Create and implement part numbers and BOMs in the company ERP
• Support the resolution of technical issues, assist sub-suppliers in production and support installation in the workshop

Required profile

• Technical mechanical education
• Ability to choose the right type and size of mechanical components and understand their manufacturability
• Good English knowledge
• Preferential: selection of actuators for automatic machines, mechanical static calculations, and selecting materials for applications

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD design; SolidWorks 3D modelling is mandatory
• Knowledge of other 2D and 3D design software is a plus
• Computer skills

• Annual salary of EUR 30,000 to 38,000 depending on experience and qualifications
