Mechanical Field Engineer – Vibration Analysis, Tribology & Predictive Maintenance

About the role

As a Mechanical Field Engineer you will provide specialised technical support to industrial customers, helping them improve equipment reliability and performance through advanced tribology, vibration analysis and predictive‑maintenance practices. You will work closely with sales teams and TotalEnergies Lubrifiants experts to solve complex mechanical challenges on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technical assessments of industrial equipment and lubrication systems.
• Support customers in developing reliability‑centred maintenance strategies.
• Inspect key assets such as ball mills and cement kilns using vibration analysis, thermography, video endoscopy and remote monitoring.
• Interpret condition‑monitoring data to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare clear technical reports with findings, conclusions and practical recommendations.
• Provide expertise on industrial lubricants and tribological applications, optimise lubrication practices and develop lubrication plans for critical rotating equipment.
