Mechanical R&D Engineer – Conveyor Systems

About the role

The Mechanical R&D Engineer will develop new concepts and prototypes for mechanical assemblies used in Mechanica Sistemi’s conveyor systems. This position supports product innovation by designing, testing, and refining components to improve performance and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Design and test mechanical components and assemblies within R&D projects.
• Support prototyping activities, construct test benches, and collect performance data.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure functional integration of designs.
• Analyze mechanical performance, identify issues, and propose design improvements.
• Document designs, testing results, and technical evaluations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in mechanical design and testing environments.
• Strong interest in mechanical innovation and systems optimization.
• Team‑oriented mindset with good problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• 3D modeling and drafting using Inventor.
• CAD modeling and drawing.
• Mechanical testing and analysis.
• Experimental design and documentation.
