MEMS Designer for Inertial Sensors

About the role

You will join the Milan Design Center of Bosch Sensortec, designing and optimizing mechanical and electrical behavior of new inertial MEMS structures based on customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design mechanical and electrical aspects of MEMS structures for gyroscopes using model‑based approaches.
• Run dedicated FEM simulations to optimize designs and develop new optimization algorithms.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (ASIC, packaging, project management) to coordinate design and simulation tasks.
• Analyze cause‑chain effects and support lab experiments for validation.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in MEMS design and model development for inertial sensors.
• Fluent English (minimum B2); German is a plus.
• Autonomous, self‑organized working style in a complex development environment.

Required skills

• Proficient coding in MATLAB and Python.
• Experience with Finite Element Simulation tools (FEM).
• Knowledge of Simulink (preferred).
• Ability to develop and implement design‑optimization algorithms.

What we offer

• Gross annual salary between €50,000 and €60,000 for a 40‑hour week.
