Off-Cycle Internship 2026 - Investment Banking & Capital Markets, Milan

About the role

The Investment Banking Italy team is looking for an off-cycle intern in the Milan office for a six-month period, starting in December. The intern works alongside the investment bankers on M&A, equity and leveraged finance origination and execution assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate companies and perform research and due diligence to support origination and live deal execution.
• Develop financial and valuation models for M&A transactions and sharpen technical skills in mergers, acquisitions and capital raising.
• Synthesise complex information and present detailed financial modelling results to senior bankers.
• Support the preparation, production and delivery of proposals and presentations to clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a similar field.
• Previous experience (at least one year) in Investment Banking, Private Equity or Transaction Advisory Services is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and teamwork.
• Proficiency in English and proven ability to collaborate with international teams.
• Clear statement of plans for further studies after graduation.
