Operational and Financial Internal Audit Analyst

About the role

The Operational and Financial Internal Audit Analyst will join Barilla's Internal Audit Group in Parma, supporting audit projects under the supervision of senior audit managers.

Key responsibilities

• Interview management, map processes and perform analyses and tests using audit software such as ACL, MS Excel and MS Access.
• Identify potential issues, draft audit observations and recommendations, and discuss them with audit management.
• Participate in discussions with auditees on observations and recommendations.
• Support monitoring of recommendation implementation and conduct follow‑up audit activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Economics, Business Administration or Management Engineering.
• Maximum 2 years of experience in an audit function or audit consulting firm.
• Fluent in English and Italian (written and spoken); additional language a plus.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail and strong interpersonal communication.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel.
• Audit software knowledge: ACL, Audit Board, SAP, PowerBI (preferred).
• Knowledge of CIA certification is a plus.

What we offer

• Gross annual base salary of at least €34,000, with potential increase based on experience.
• Permanent contract.
• Opportunity to work onsite in Parma with occasional travel.
