Outage Manager

About the role

GE Vernova’s FieldCore team is seeking an experienced Outage Manager to lead the planning, execution, and close‑out of complex planned and emergent outage events for gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators across Italy. You will be the central point of contact for customers and internal teams, ensuring safe, on‑time, and cost‑effective delivery of field services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage outage schedules, labor, tooling, and cost plans for planned, emergent, and upgrade events.
• Lead on‑site execution as site lead, coordinating large multidisciplinary teams and meeting Fulfilment‑5 goals.
• Track on‑job costs, productivity, and manage execution risk using FMEA and warranty processes.
• Drive improvements in on‑time delivery, outage cost, and productivity through accurate tracking and pacing.
• Develop project quotations, conduct site condition checks, and perform preliminary safety and risk analyses.
• Support customer operations during shutdown, start‑up, and performance testing of turbine, generator, and auxiliary systems.
• Ensure all execution documentation (field procedures, quality, EHS, outage reports) is prepared, reviewed, stored, and delivered.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex outage events in power generation equipment.
• Strong project‑management and on‑site leadership abilities.
• Excellent customer‑facing skills and ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams.
• Analytical mindset with focus on cost control, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
