Part-Time TRICARE Beneficiary Services Representative

About the role

Leidos is accepting applications for a part-time TRICARE Beneficiary Services Representative (BSR) at Aviano Air Base, Italy. The position supports active-duty military members and their families by providing beneficiary education and enrollment services for the TRICARE Overseas Program (TOP) under the Defense Health Agency. It is a 20-hour-per-week schedule, Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 2 PM, and the requisition is for future openings.

Key responsibilities

• Process enrollments, disenrollments and portability transfers using systems such as DOES and MHS Genesis
• Update Primary Care Managers according to Military Treatment Facility guidelines
• Advise beneficiaries on TRICARE resources, benefits, enrollment and claims, in person and by phone
• Provide basic claims status updates and support
• Lead briefings on events such as in/out processing, maternity and pre-separation/retirement
• Record daily activities and OHI information in the applicable systems
• Evaluate the level of assistance needed and escalate complex issues
• Comply with HIPAA, protect PHI and complete required training
• Support remote assistance, train new team members and perform other assigned duties

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an associate's degree plus 4 years of health-related experience, or a major certification plus 4 years, or a high school diploma plus 8 years of health-related experience
• U.S. citizenship and SOFA/command-sponsored status as a dependent of an active-duty service member, DoD employee or U.S. contractor
• Valid Missione visa and Soggiorno permit
• Eligible for ADP IT III clearance (non-sensitive, tier 1)
• 3+ years of customer service experience

• Preferred: familiarity with TRICARE Overseas Program, DEERS, DOES and MHS Genesis, and experience in military healthcare, managed care or medical claims environments

The stated annual salary for a full-time equivalent is $32,000; the pay range given is $31,850 to $57,575.
