Plant Controlling Internship

About the role

Join Barilla's Industrial Controlling team in Parma and gain hands‑on experience in plant controlling, data analytics and AI. You will support monthly closing, reporting and the development of innovative analytical solutions for plant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support monthly closing and reporting, independently handling specific analysis areas.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI and advanced analytics to controlling processes.
• Develop analyses to detect patterns, trends and performance drivers across plant operations.
• Create dashboards, analytical models and automated reporting solutions.
• Collaborate with Controlling, Finance, Operations and other stakeholders to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
• Experiment with Generative AI and other AI tools to enhance data interpretation and insight generation.

Required profile

• Master’s student or recent graduate in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics or related field.
• Fluent in English and Italian.
• Strong interest in controlling, data analytics and artificial intelligence.
• Good analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Previous internship experience in Finance & Administration of an FMCG company is a plus.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools.
• Experience with Excel, Power BI or similar tools.
• Interest in exploring AI tools, including Generative AI.
