Plant Purchasing Manager

About the role

Muviq is looking for an experienced Plant Purchasing Manager to lead procurement activities at its manufacturing plant. Reporting to the Plant Manager and collaborating with Corporate Procurement, the role ensures timely supply of materials, components, and services while meeting cost, quality, and delivery targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with plant and corporate goals.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and secure optimal cost, quality, and delivery conditions.
• Monitor procurement KPIs, drive continuous improvement, and identify cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Guarantee uninterrupted supply of materials and services for plant operations.
• Collaborate with Production, Logistics, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams.
• Conduct market analysis, supplier benchmarking, and mitigate supply risks.
• Lead supplier performance reviews and corrective action plans.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, industry standards, and regulations.
• Coordinate with Corporate Procurement and Global Sourcing to align local activities with global strategies.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of purchasing professionals.
• Manage escalations related to supplier quality, delivery, capacity, or commercial issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of purchasing experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Proven experience as a Plant Purchasing Manager or Senior Purchasing Manager.
• Experience managing and developing a purchasing team.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills.
• Solid understanding of direct and indirect purchasing processes.
• Experience in multinational manufacturing environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably AS400.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
