Primary Teacher (Cover)

About the role

Florence Bilingual School, a bilingual Italian/English school founded in 1973 and part of the Cognita Schools group since 2021, is looking for a Primary Teacher to provide cover for a few hours when substitutions are needed. The role is zero hours, as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth delivery of pre-prepared lessons and maintain a positive, safe learning environment
• Manage classroom behaviour and follow school policies
• Adapt to different year groups and teaching styles
• Take attendance, supervise students, mark work and give feedback
• Collaborate with other staff to support learning continuity

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Primary Education or another related field
• Flexible, organised and passionate about working with children
• Strong teamwork, effective classroom management and a commitment to safeguarding
• Clear understanding of teaching methods and dedication to student progress
