Procurement Associate

About the role

Stalks N Spice is seeking a Procurement Associate to lead the sourcing of premium spices and food products across India. You will collaborate with suppliers, manage purchase orders, and ensure quality while optimizing costs.

Key responsibilities

• Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with spice suppliers and food vendors.
• Purchase Orders: Create and manage purchase orders based on inventory requirements.
• Price Negotiation: Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve best value.
• Quality Coordination: Work with the QA team to ensure supplier quality standards are met.
• Inventory Planning: Forecast demand and plan procurement to avoid stockouts.
• Market Research: Stay updated on spice market trends, pricing, and new suppliers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in food/FMCG.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
• Analytical mindset with excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with inventory management tools.
