Procurement Value Analysis and Value Engineering

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Value Analysis and Value Engineering professional to join our headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese. Reporting to the Head of General Procurement, Systems & Processes, you will apply value engineering and cost analysis techniques to support product development and cost optimisation throughout the vehicle lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Support design‑to‑cost activities during concept, development and life‑cycle phases.
• Perform detailed cost analysis on variable and fixed costs based on technical requirements.
• Evaluate cost relations according to production volumes and build waterfall analyses using group tools.
• Provide calculations for green/brown‑field and R&D cost components.
• Assist series buyers in negotiations by delivering cost‑based analyses.
• Identify, evaluate and implement cost‑reduction ideas from early development to post‑SOP.

Required profile

• University degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic or Automotive Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive cost engineering or cost analysis.
• Strong technical product knowledge and familiarity with manufacturing technologies such as powertrain, electrification and hybridisation.
• Proficiency in English; German is a plus.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to implement innovative technical solutions.
• Effective negotiation and teamwork skills.
