Production Operations Specialist

About the role

JD Logistics is building its first small‑goods fulfillment center in Italy. The Production Operations Specialist will act as the central hub for real‑time data flow, order batching, and volume planning within the Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring smooth execution of high‑volume e‑commerce orders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage order wave releases and monitor labor productivity across receiving, stowing, picking, and packing.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks on automated conveyor belts, digital errors, and picking backlogs to keep floor downtime to a minimum.
• Analyze hourly shift data and provide actionable recommendations for real‑time labor reallocation.
• Ensure 100% compliance with e‑commerce order cut‑off times and carrier departure schedules.
• Establish and fine‑tune localized order wave patterns and inventory allocation rules in the WMS during the greenfield launch.

Required profile

• Proven experience in greenfield warehouse or production control launches.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data‑driven decision making.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, fluid environment and translate global processes into local execution.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with Warehouse Supervisors and cross‑functional teams.
