Production Shift Manager

About the role

The Production Shift Manager leads the day‑to‑day operations of a manufacturing shift, ensuring safety, quality, cost, delivery and people objectives are met. Reporting to plant leadership, the manager drives performance on the shop floor while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and employee development.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee execution of production activities during the assigned shift and ensure targets for units and operating units are achieved.
• Coordinate supervisors, team leaders and operational resources, monitoring line stoppages, scrap, rework, efficiency and other performance indicators.
• Make timely decisions to resolve operational issues and verify compliance with operating standards and the Stellantis Industrial System (SIS).
• Manage, support and develop shift supervisors and team leaders, monitoring attendance, absenteeism and workforce utilization.
• Implement the Health and Safety Management System, analyze events, near‑misses and support safety, environmental and process audits.
• Promote SIS adoption, analyze performance losses, define improvement targets and drive structured continuous‑improvement projects.
• Ensure clear communication on the shop floor and collaborate with quality, maintenance, logistics, HR and safety functions.

Required profile

• Engineering degree, preferably Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic.
• Strong knowledge of automotive production processes and manufacturing standards.
• Proven leadership experience in a shift‑management or supervisory role within an industrial environment.
• Ability to make data‑driven decisions and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives.
