Project Controller

About the role

The Project Controller will join the Finance function of Anaergia and work closely with Project Management and Procurement teams to ensure financial and economic control of Engineering‑Procurement (EP) and Engineering‑Procurement‑Construction (EPC) projects. The role supports effective planning, cost monitoring, cash‑flow management and revenue recognition to meet project profitability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in preparing the project budget, Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) and financial plan.
• Establish project profitability targets and define financial baselines.
• Monitor and control actual project costs, including materials, labour, subcontracting and other direct expenses.
• Update the Estimate at Completion (EAC) and forecast final project cost throughout the lifecycle.
• Analyse variances between planned and actual performance, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Track project progress and work status, ensuring alignment between physical progress and financial results.
• Support revenue recognition using Percentage of Completion (PoC) or milestone‑based methods and ensure timely customer invoicing.
• Prepare, maintain and regularly update project cash‑flow forecasts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance or cost control within EP/EPC environments.
• Ability to collaborate closely with project management and procurement functions.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in budgeting, variance analysis and cash‑flow management.
• Familiarity with Cost Breakdown Structures, Estimate at Completion and revenue‑recognition methodologies (PoC, milestone).
