Project Engineer – Nuclear Projects (Italy)

About the role

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Project Engineer to act as the Italian representative of a cross‑country team delivering an international nuclear project. Based in Monfalcone, you will ensure compliance with standards, codes (RCC‑M/RSE‑M) and regulatory requirements while supporting manufacturing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor manufacturing and inspection procedures from development through external approval.
• Ensure technical alignment, regulatory compliance and adherence to project deadlines.
• Address non‑conformances with engineering, quality and regulatory teams.
• Provide technical support for resolving manufacturing deviations.
• Serve as the local representative for the Notified Body and French regulatory authorities.
• Collaborate closely with French bodies, internal departments and travel to France for business meetings as needed.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in manufacturing environments.
• Professional proficiency in English and French.
• Familiarity with nuclear sector standards is an asset.
• Comfortable using common IT tools and software.

Required skills

• Knowledge of RCC‑M and RSE‑M codes.
• Understanding of ESPN and PED regulations.
• Experience with manufacturing and inspection procedures.
