Project Engineer – Process (Greenfield Project)

About the role

As a Project Engineer – Process you will lead the design, implementation and start‑up of capital investment projects for Nestlé Purina’s new manufacturing site in Mantova. You will own the process scope from user requirement definition through to hand‑over to operations, ensuring safety, quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Project Leader in developing the investment charter, preparing technical inputs, cost estimates and user requirement specifications.
• Execute basic and detailed process design, produce P&ID and BoQ/BoM deliverables, and validate hygienic and safety requirements.
• Coordinate suppliers, contractors and internal teams for equipment installation, piping, utilities, automation interfaces, testing and commissioning.
• Assist Operations during qualification, verification, commissioning and hand‑over, ensuring all documentation and training are completed.

Required profile

• Approximately 3 years of experience in capital‑investment project development and implementation in the food industry.
• Proven ability to manage a project scope with minimal supervision and coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Successful participation in projects involving process technologies, equipment or hygienic‑processing systems.
• Fluent written and spoken English (mandatory); Italian knowledge is an advantage.
