Project Engineering Manager – EPC Energy Projects

About the role

Arkad is expanding its corporate structure and seeks a senior Project Engineering Manager to lead engineering activities for EPC energy projects from our Milan hub. You will be the primary technical interface for international clients and partners, ensuring the quality and timely delivery of all engineering deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Guarantee technical assurance and compliance of all engineering work with contract specifications, quality, safety and environmental standards.
• Lead the assigned engineering team, define guidelines, tasks and overall development strategy.
• Prepare and monitor the Project Engineering Plan, track progress, man‑hour efficiency and budget, and implement recovery actions when needed.
• Authorize multidisciplinary deliverables and issue them for construction (IFC) status.
• Manage engineering sub‑contracts, evaluate technical specifications, monitor schedules and handle claims or changes.
• Control material and erection quantities, ensure timely material requisitions and coordinate with procurement.
• Act as the main technical contact for clients and partners, support construction with work requisitions, bid evaluations and field assistance.
• Assist the Project Manager with commercial claims, risk quantification and provide technical input for proposals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer on large EPC Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Energy projects.
• Strong background in Process or Machinery & Packages disciplines.
• Proven leadership of large engineering groups and field engineering experience.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
