Project Engineering Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Project Engineering Manager to lead the engineering delivery of complex EPC projects at our Milan Engineering Centre. The role ensures that engineering outputs meet programme, budget, quality and constructability requirements while aligning with client expectations and internal guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and lead the project engineering team, reporting deviations or additional needs to the Head of Engineering and Head of Project Engineering.
• Ensure design quality and compliance with technical standards, work processes and approval criteria.
• Define team composition in agreement with the Head of Engineering and supervise performance against task deadlines.
• Track engineering programme progress, detect scope changes early and assess cost or schedule impact.
• Control spent and budgeted hours, review consolidated engineering documentation and supplier drawings.
• Identify critical supplies and manage the issuance of purchase documentation.
• Participate in internal and client‑facing progress meetings and provide regular status updates to senior management and the client.

Required profile

• MSc in Industrial Engineering.
• 8‑10 years of experience in a similar role within EPC contractors or engineering services firms.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Fluent in English and Italian.

What we offer

• Permanent contract under the National Collective Labour Agreement for the Metalworking Sector.
• Gross annual salary between €62,000 and €70,000.
• Remote working option and flexible hours.
