Project Manager R&D Medical Devices

About the role

Air Liquide Medical Systems is seeking a Project Manager to lead R&D projects for medical devices focused on respiratory care. You will work within an international, young engineering team to design and develop innovative, patient‑centric products.

Key responsibilities

• Translate market insights and user needs into technical specifications, product roadmaps and project development plans.
• Lead definition of patient‑centric requirements to improve ergonomics, comfort and clinical efficacy.
• Conduct techno‑economic feasibility analyses and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Manage supplier relationships for prototype production using additive manufacturing and injection‑mould technologies.
• Oversee testing, documentation, and creation of test reports to maintain compliance with medical device standards and CE certification.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in mechanical, biomechanical, biomedical or material engineering.
• Previous experience in R&D teams developing medium‑complexity medical devices, preferably with injection‑moulded engineering plastics.
• Familiarity with safety standards, CE certification processes and medical‑device conformity.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, able to present reports to management.
