Proposal Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Proposal Engineer to join our Cold Rolling Downstream Team. You will coordinate the technical development of proposals, ensuring they meet client specifications, internal standards, and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate technical proposal development and align client specifications with internal standards and supplier input.
• Define and validate preliminary plant layouts, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Support risk analysis and identify technical and execution risks.
• Consolidate technical documentation, material lists, and scope definitions with Engineering.
• Ensure consistency between technical scope and cost estimates, spotting gaps or optimization opportunities.
• Prepare and integrate technical documentation for final offer submission.
• Monitor proposal progress, enforce timelines, and take corrective actions when needed.
• Assist in evaluating supplier quotations and technical alignment.
• Collaborate with Proposal, Technical and Commercial Managers for final validation and submission.
• Provide feedback to R&D on product improvements and monitor market trends in the cold rolling sector.

Required profile

• Degree in Industrial or Automation Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of experience in proposal engineering or similar roles within plant engineering or heavy machinery.
• Good knowledge of contract types, including international contracts.
• Fluent written and spoken English; additional language is a plus.
• Strong teamwork, proactivity, and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
