Public Sector Sales Executive

About the role

SailPoint is seeking a Public Sector Sales Executive to sell its Identity Security solution to government customers, primarily central government. The role involves leading a virtual team of partners, presales, and professional services to secure sales wins and ensure customer success.

Key responsibilities

• Exceed quarterly and annual revenue quotas by managing the full sales cycle from discovery to closing.
• Develop and execute territory and account plans, including stakeholder mapping and pipeline growth.
• Collaborate with partners, marketing, and internal teams to deliver tailored solutions and maintain high customer service standards.
• Maintain accurate Salesforce and Clari data, provide forecasts, and report on sales performance.

Required profile

• Skilled communicator able to qualify opportunities and present SailPoint’s value against competitors such as Microsoft, Okta, and Saviynt.
• Team‑oriented leader who can coordinate virtual resources, set clear expectations, and hold stakeholders accountable.
• Proven ability to create and execute strategic territory plans and adapt quickly to market feedback.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Salesforce for pipeline management and forecasting.
• Experience using Clari or similar sales analytics tools.
