Purchasing Agent – Milan

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Purchasing Agent to join the team at The Westin Palace in Milan. The role supports the hotel’s financial and procurement processes, ensuring accurate record‑keeping and timely billing.

Key responsibilities

• Verify figures, postings and documents for accuracy and correct coding.
• Organise, secure and maintain files, records, cash and cash equivalents in line with policies.
• Record, store and analyse financial information using computerised systems.
• Maintain electronic spreadsheets for financial and accounting data.
• Classify, code and summarise numerical data to compile financial records.
• Prepare, maintain and distribute financial, accounting, auditing and payroll reports.
• Execute period‑end closing procedures and related reports.
• Prepare, review, reconcile and issue bills, invoices and account statements.
• Provide professional guest service, answer calls and emails with appropriate etiquette.
• Handle objects up to 10 lb without assistance and perform other reasonable duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant experience in purchasing, finance or accounting.
• Ability to work accurately with numbers and maintain confidentiality.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
• Team‑oriented attitude and willingness to support colleagues.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic spreadsheets.
• Basic computer literacy for financial data entry.
