PV Solar Field Technician - Piedmont

About the role

Our client, a leading international renewable energy company, is expanding its operations in Italy and is looking for experienced Solar Field Technicians to work on utility‑scale photovoltaic farms in the Piedmont region. The role involves hands‑on installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of solar PV systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and test solar PV modules, inverters, transformers and related electrical components.
• Perform system integration, grid‑connection procedures and pre‑commissioning inspections.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, and replace defective parts.
• Monitor system performance, identify optimisation opportunities and keep accurate maintenance records.
• Ensure compliance with Italian electrical standards, conduct risk assessments and apply safety protocols on‑site.
• Provide technical support to operations teams and collaborate with engineers on system improvements.

Required profile

• Electrical qualification or equivalent technical certification.
• Minimum 2‑3 years of proven experience with solar PV installations and maintenance.
• Fluent Italian and good command of English for daily communication.

Required skills

• Understanding of high‑voltage and low‑voltage electrical systems.
