Quality Specialist (Maternity Leave Replacement)

About the role

This position ensures the effective implementation of Nestlé’s Food Safety and Quality Management Systems while driving continuous improvement across the factory. It provides technical expertise to prevent and resolve quality issues, promotes strong GMP and hygiene standards, and supports teams through targeted training.

Key responsibilities

• Lead food safety management programs and facilitate quality improvement initiatives to resolve internal and external defects.
• Maintain and update food safety management system documentation, ensuring it delivers expected results.
• Deliver training on hygiene, foreign bodies, HACCP, pest control, and cleaning validation, acting as a Hygiene Champion.
• Manage consumer complaints, especially foreign‑body issues, and conduct root‑cause analyses to implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Perform risk assessments, control non‑conforming products, and coordinate management changes to avoid food‑safety risks.

Required profile

• Graduate in Chemistry, Materials Science, Food Science, or related scientific discipline.
• 6 months to 1 year experience in a food manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Fluent in Italian and English.
• Prior exposure to Food Safety Management Systems.
