Razvojni programer/inženjer – Automation Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Automation Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Buttrio, Italy. You will be involved in developing and designing software solutions for metal‑processing equipment, supporting projects from concept through commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and design automation software for various metal‑processing processes.
• Validate implemented solutions through process simulation.
• Participate in client meetings to define project details and requirements.
• Commission projects using advanced and innovative technologies.

Required profile

• Graduate of a technical faculty (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, etc.).
• Excellent command of English.
• Strong communication, meticulousness, and responsibility.
• Motivation to work in a multinational, technology‑focused environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IEC 61131‑3 programming languages and data types.
• Experience with Siemens STEP7/TIA Portal and/or Allen‑Bradley Rockwell software.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems such as Wonderware Intouch or Siemens WinCC.
• Understanding of frequency converters.
• Proficiency with simulation tools like Matlab and Simulink.
• Object‑oriented programming skills.
• Experience with computer‑vision libraries (OpenCV, Matrox Mil).
• Knowledge of the CUDA platform.
