Research Officer (Digital) – Temporary, Remote

About the role

UNICEF Innocenti is seeking a Research Officer (Digital) on a 364‑day temporary contract to support its Digital Engagement and Protection unit. The role focuses on analysing survey data related to technology‑facilitated child sexual exploitation and contributing to the design of a new longitudinal study on children’s digital experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead statistical analysis of survey data on technology‑facilitated sexual exploitation and abuse.
• Support quantitative research design for the inception phase of a longitudinal digital‑risk project.
• Assist with mixed‑methods integration and analysis of qualitative data.
• Draft research reports, policy briefs and journal articles based on primary and secondary data.
• Collaborate with the Research Specialist and team members to ensure methodological rigour.

Required profile

• Relevant academic background (e.g., social sciences, statistics, public health).
• Experience conducting statistical analysis of survey data.
• Proficiency in quantitative research design and mixed‑methods integration.
• Strong writing skills for research reports and policy briefs.
