Sales Manager – Aviation & Defense

About the role

We are seeking a Sales Manager to drive business development in the Aviation and Defense sectors for Bosch Engineering in Italy. The role focuses on expanding our presence in the Defense market while also scouting opportunities in Aviation, working closely with technical and management teams at a national level.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Defense sector.
• Map key stakeholders and decision‑makers in strategic client organisations.
• Lead commercial prospecting, relationship building and networking activities.
• Promote Bosch Engineering’s services and component development solutions.
• Drive cross‑selling initiatives and support transversal competency development.
• Establish and strengthen partnerships with major industry players, research institutions and consulting partners.
• Collaborate with project leaders to define commercial offers and negotiate contracts.
• Conduct scouting and business development activities in the Aviation sector.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Aerospace, Electronic, Mechatronics, Telecommunications or Mechanical).
• 2–4 years of experience in commercial or business‑development roles within Defense, Aerospace or Engineering services.
• Proven ability to manage complex industrial clients and navigate military or aerospace market dynamics.
• Strong commercial mindset, networking and negotiation skills.
• Result‑oriented, dynamic and comfortable working on projects in growth phases.
• Willingness to travel frequently across Italy (30‑50 % of the time).
• Fluent in Italian (C1/C2) and English (C1); German is a plus.
