Senior Backend Engineer – Consumer Growth

About the role

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer you will shape the technical direction of the Consumer Growth team, delivering high‑impact services that power Satispay’s consumer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and operate backend services that power the Satispay consumer experience, including payment flows, identity verification, loyalty and engagement features.
• Lead cross‑team technical analysis, drive design discussions and produce clear documentation for multi‑team projects.
• Raise engineering quality by defining testing strategies, safe progressive rollouts and reducing technical debt in a codebase handling over 2 M daily payments.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers, guiding them on event‑driven patterns, cross‑service dependencies and operational excellence.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of backend software engineering experience in fast‑paced, microservices‑oriented environments.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset, initiative and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Passion for FinTech and fluency in English.
