Senior DevOps Engineer – Kubernetes & Azure DevOps

About the role

Bitrock is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to take full ownership of mission‑critical production environments. You will work autonomously across a broad technical perimeter, driving CI/CD, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure decisions while serving as the technical reference for complex, mixed‑technology landscapes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and troubleshoot Kubernetes (AKS) clusters in development, QA, and production.
• Design, build, and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for multi‑environment deployments.
• Own GitOps secret management and support Git/Bitbucket workflows.
• Support build and packaging of JVM‑based applications (Java, Spring Boot, Maven, Docker, Tomcat).
• Operate messaging and streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and relational/NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB).
• Monitor production systems, lead incident response and root‑cause analysis.
• Maintain security and quality gates, handling vulnerability remediation.
• Collaborate with developers, clients, and suppliers, ensuring structured communication and reliable releases.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Kubernetes/AKS, Helm, and GitOps practices.
• Solid background in CI/CD using Azure DevOps Pipelines.
• Good knowledge of Azure services (AKS, ACR, networking, storage).
• Experience with Git/Bitbucket workflows and release management.
• Familiarity with JVM‑based application builds and containerisation.
• Experience with messaging/streaming systems and databases.
• Comfortable working in Linux/VM environments, including legacy systems.
