Senior DevOps Engineer – Site Reliability Focus

About the role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong Site Reliability Engineering focus to partner with developers, QA, security, and product teams. You will help shape our platform, improve infrastructure reliability, and streamline developer workflows in a leading financial services multinational.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate across engineering teams to enhance infrastructure reliability, automation, and developer productivity.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines that reduce friction between development, QA, security, and operations.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible for both cloud and on‑premises environments.
• Lead the adoption of SRE principles to increase cloud system resilience.
• Support legacy and modern systems while transitioning workloads to containerised, cloud‑native architectures.
• Implement and promote monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Champion automation, eliminate manual toil, and run internal workshops and demos.
• Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and internal training to raise engineering excellence.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
• Expertise with CI/CD tools, preferably Jenkins.
• Solid understanding of containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Deep knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with monitoring and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Proven track record of improving platform reliability, availability, and performance.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor cross‑functional teams.
