Senior Financial Controller (Milan)

About the role

Indigo.ai is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to join its fast‑growing finance team in Milan. You will work directly with the Head of Finance & Strategy to build and scale the company’s financial accounting function across products, markets and legal entities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and strengthen financial processes and internal controls, emphasizing automation and scalability.
• Own financial reporting across entities, products and markets, analysing variances against budget, forecast and prior performance.
• Manage treasury and cash‑flow, including cash positioning, working‑capital optimisation, short‑ and mid‑term forecasting, bank relationships and payment execution.
• Coordinate statutory accounting, periodical balance‑sheet closings, auditor and tax‑advisor interactions, and ensure full compliance with filings.
• Drive accounts‑receivable and credit management, overseeing invoicing cycles, collections and reconciliation with CRM/contract data.
• Lead the monthly close process and maintain the close calendar in partnership with external advisors.
• Handle transfer pricing and intercompany accounting for foreign legal entities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial controlling, treasury, statutory accounting and month‑end close within a multi‑entity environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and support strategic decision‑making.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with finance, sales, customer‑success and external advisors.
• Self‑starter attitude with the capacity to design processes where none currently exist.
