Senior Project Manager – Healthcare IT

About the role

The Senior Project Manager will lead the planning, execution and sign‑off of InterSystems TrakCare projects across the country, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and on budget. The role requires frequent travel to customer sites and accountability for overall project success.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute TrakCare implementation projects, adhering to timelines and budget constraints.
• Manage the full project lifecycle from day‑to‑day execution to resource acquisition and team coordination.
• Define project objectives and enforce quality control using InterSystems ARIES Customer Engagement Methodology.
• Monitor customer and third‑party obligations, handling escalations for any project variances.
• Travel regularly to customer sites (approximately 70–80% of the time).

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) in the healthcare sector.
• Proven track record managing end‑to‑end implementation projects for integrated healthcare solutions.
• Strong experience in resource, timeline and budget management.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biomedical Engineering, Management Engineering).
• PMP certification.
