Senior Quality Manager

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Quality Manager to lead Quality Assurance and Quality Control at our new state‑of‑the‑art production plant in Collecchio, Italy. Reporting to the Regional Quality Lead, you will build the quality foundation from scratch, ensuring compliance, certification and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the set‑up of the Quality Management System (QMS) for a newly established site and secure all required certifications.
• Develop and implement QMS documentation aligned with FSSC22000, ISO 9001, RSPO and other relevant standards.
• Define and drive site‑wide quality strategy, objectives and performance metrics in line with global and regional goals.
• Promote a strong quality culture and continuous‑improvement mindset across all teams.
• Manage internal non‑conformances and customer complaints, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
• Recruit, onboard, coach and develop a high‑performing quality team, including succession planning.
• Collaborate with production, R&D and supply‑chain functions to embed quality into every process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific discipline (e.g., chemistry, biochemistry, food science) or equivalent experience.
• More than 10 years of experience in quality roles within food, flavor or related manufacturing, including team management.
• Proven track record of establishing QMS and achieving certifications such as FSSC22000, ISO 9001 and RSPO.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
