Simulation Engineer – Stiffness Analysis

About the role

Bertrandt is seeking a Simulation Engineer specialized in stiffness analysis to join its multidisciplinary engineering team. You will work on the full development cycle, from concept to series production, creating and validating simulation models for automotive, aerospace and mechanical projects.

Key responsibilities

• Independently create and modify simulation models using ANSA, LS‑DYNA, ABAQUS, Animator and custom tools.
• Perform and validate calculations for stiffness, strength, misuse loads and durability.
• Document and present results, coordinating with customers, project managers and other development partners.
• Develop and implement optimisation proposals to improve component performance.
• Support assemblies throughout the entire development process, collaborating with design, testing and other departments.

Required profile

• Technical or scientific degree in automotive, aerospace, mechanical engineering or a comparable field.
• Experience with FEM systems such as LS‑DYNA, ABAQUS, ANSA or Animator is preferred.
• Programming knowledge (e.g., TCL, Python, Bash) is an advantage.
• Independent, structured work style with quick comprehension and high reliability.
• Strong commitment, communication skills and a service‑oriented mindset.
• Business‑fluent English; automotive industry experience is a plus.
