Site Manager – Renewable Energy Projects (Italy)

About the role

ABEI Energy is seeking a Site Manager to lead the construction phase of its renewable energy projects across Italy. You will act as the primary on‑site representative, ensuring that all civil, mechanical and electrical works are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day construction activities, including civil, mechanical and electrical works.
• Ensure compliance with the project schedule, milestones and technical specifications.
• Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, engineering consultants and suppliers.
• Validate construction progress and report regularly to the Project Manager.
• Oversee inspections, testing, QA/QC processes and manage non‑conformities.
• Implement and monitor health and safety requirements on site.
• Serve as the main interface with project managers, engineering teams, owners, local authorities and stakeholders.
• Prepare periodic reports on progress, risks and deviations.
• Support cost‑control activities and maintain complete project documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction site management.
• Previous experience on utility‑scale solar PV projects.
• Strong knowledge of Italian construction practices, regulations and stakeholder management.
• Proven ability to manage contractors and subcontractors.
• Experience with planning and scheduling tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
