Site Manager – Utility Scale Solar Construction

About the role

We are looking for a flexible Site Manager to lead the construction of utility‑scale solar PV projects (5‑10 MW) for a leading European renewable‑energy IPP. The role will start on projects in Italy with the possibility to work in Germany or Spain as project needs evolve.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day construction activities, ensuring safety, schedule adherence and quality standards.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers and on‑site personnel according to technical specifications.
• Monitor progress, resolve on‑site issues and provide regular reports on programme, quality, cost and risk to the Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with Italian health, safety, environmental and permitting regulations, maintaining all required documentation and inspections.
• Oversee commissioning support, snagging and hand‑over activities to deliver a fully operational plant.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing construction sites for utility‑scale solar PV projects.
• Ability to work on‑site in Italy and adapt to other European locations as required.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations applicable to solar installations.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills for interaction with subcontractors and internal teams.
